After years working in biomedical science, I took a leap of faith and got into interior design, sewing and jewellery making. I loved doing all this, but it was hard to juggle craft fairs and making with two young kids and a cat determined to sit on all my fabrics.
Spoonflower was a game changer for me. I taught myself pattern design and rediscovered my passion for drawing. The weekly challenges keep me motivated and enthusiastic, and also explain my sometimes eclectic subject themes.
